For more scholarship information, to view a partial list of scholarships offered, or to apply for a scholarship, visit our Scholarship Page. Scholarship selection will be made by the College Scholarship Committee, or Foundation Scholarship Committees. Should you be selected for multiple MPCC scholarships intended to be used for the same purpose (i.e. tuition and fees) you will be awarded the scholarship that is most beneficial. Scholarships intended for the same purpose cannot be stacked.
Financial Aid
The Federal programs of financial aid at Mid-Plains Community College include loans, grants and part-time employment. The purpose is to assist qualified students who desire financial assistance to make possible their attendance at college. To be eligible for Federal Financial Aid at MPCC a student must have a high school diploma, GED certificate or home school certificate prior to enrollment in an occupational or academic program of study leading to a degree, diploma or certificate.
We also have policies regarding National Guard tuition credit, U.S. Army Reserve tuition waivers, Army Reserve federal tuition assistance continuing education system program and Veteran’s benefits.

Veteran’s and Dependents (Eligible Person)
Veteran Benefits Transition Policy
Students utilizing GI Bill® VA Benefits may qualify for provisions as dictated under the Veterans Benefits and Transition Act of 2018, Section 3679 of title 38, United States Code, Section 103. In order to qualify for such provisions, a student must have:
- Produced proof of eligibility of entitlement to education assistance (e.g., Certificate of Eligibility; Statement of Benefits) by no later than the first day of classes in which he or she wishes to use entitlement to educational assistance.
- Submitted a certification request form to the SCO.
For qualifying individuals, MPCC will not prevent their enrollment; require a student to secure alternative or additional funding; deny access to any resources available to other students who have satisfied their tuition and fee bills to the institution; or assess a late penalty fee (this does not include late fees accrued on room and board charges, if applicable).

Veteran’s Standards of Progress
A Veteran and/or eligible person must make satisfactory progress toward an approved educational objective leading to employment. Veteran and/or eligible person Standard of Progress will be determined utilizing the Satisfactory Academic Progress policy as listed in this college catalog consisting of overall grade point average, pave, program length, maximum time frame for completion, attendance and/or conduct.
Veteran’s Graduation Requirements
A Veteran and/or eligible person must meet the course requirement as detailed in this catalog for the approved degree, certificate, or diploma in which they are enrolled. Students must also meet a minimum 2.0 GPA requirement and resolve all holds from the college prior to graduation.
