Student Code of Conduct

Application of Equity Grievance Procedure vs. Judicial Procedure

Mid-Plains Community College affirms its commitment to promoting the goals of fairness and equity in all aspects of the educational enterprise.

The Equity Grievance Procedure governs Title IX investigations for MPCC Faculty, Students, and Employees. This includes all discriminatory and bias-related offenses subject to resolution using Mid-Plains Community College's Equity Grievance Procedure (EGP). All Conduct offenses are subject to resolution using the Mid-Plains Community College's EGP when the act is based upon the reporting party's actual or perceived membership in a protected class.

All student Conduct Offenses not resolved through the EGP will be resolved through the Judicial Procedure (JP).

When the responding party is a member of the Mid-Plains Community College community, the EGP or the JP is applicable regardless of the status of the reporting party who may be a member or non-member of the campus community. This includes students, student organizations, faculty, administrators, staff, guests, visitors, campers, etc.
